Kepler’s Liturgy, Einstein’s Miracle

Presented by Dr Melissa Cain Travis

Author and Fellow at Discovery Institute’s Center for Science and Culture

An astonishing fact about our universe is that it is intelligible. Thanks to a powerful resonance between mathematics, the material world, and the human mind, scientific discovery is possible. Johannes Kepler saw this as evidence of a beautiful harmony between the Creator’s mind and our own. Albert Einstein regarded it as extraordinary—even miraculous—yet inexplicable. Today, cosmic comprehensibility continues to baffle materialists and is central to what we might call the argument for God from the existence of science.
